The new film, “Seventh-Gay Adventists,” produced and directed by Daneen Akers and Stephen Eyer, promotes the idea that if Adventist congregations are to reflect the loving image of Jesus they should offer full acceptance to committed, monogamous, same-sex couples.

To be clear, this is NOT the official position of the Adventist Church, yet support for this view is growing. While our “Biblical Response” shares the conviction of the film makers that same-sex individuals and couples are deeply loved by God and should always be treated with kindness and respect (which unfortunately, has not always been the case), nevertheless, it demonstrates that the Bible itself does NOT support, endorse, or affirm a gay lifestyle. Instead, love, forgiveness, healing, and transformation is offered through Jesus Christ.

Produced primarily for Adventists, this DVD may also be of interest to Christians of other denominations struggling with the same controversy.
