Required Duties

  • Assisting in policy creation
    • Investment, capitalization, and internal control policies
    • Strategic decision making
      • Using financial data and reports to make sound decisions.
      • Long term financial planning.
      • Ensure that finances are in line with the overall mission.
  • Financial oversight and compliance
  • Responsible for 990 filings
  • Reviewing finances and presenting to the board.
    • Supply monthly financial reports to management.
    • Present financial reports to the yearly board meetings.
  • Determine how to generate revenue and make recommendations to management.
  • Providing financial strategies.
  • Managing cash flow
    • Reviewing program accomplishments.
    • Manage fundraising efforts.
  • Work with management on creating a budget.
  • Participate in the year-end audit process.

Minimum Qualifications

  • CPA or education in non-profit management preferred.
  • Experience in bookkeeping and financial management.
  • Knowledge of how to manage financial systems and reporting.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Creativity
  • Seventh-day Adventist in good standing and having a good understanding of our mission.

Work Hours

  • This is a part-time opportunity and will be approximately 8 to 16 hours per week.
