In Old Testament times, God spoke through His prophets. In the New Testament, He spoke primarily through His Son, Jesus Christ (see Heb. 1:1,2). God also gave prophetic gifts to His Church, to both men and women (see Eph. 4:8; Acts 2:17; 13:1; 21:8,9). In the 1800s, a humble woman named Ellen G. White (1827-1915) received over 2,000 prophetic visions and dreams, many of which warned humanity about key apocalyptic events predicted in the Book of Revelation to occur before the return of our Savior (see Matt. 24:30,31) and the End of the World (see Revelation 6:14-17).
