Another School Disaster Strikes Florida. God’s Word Explains The Truth.

Share

Another School Disaster Strikes Florida – Disaster has struck at another public High School in Florida. 17 are dead. The shooter is in custody. We should all be praying for the families that are devastated by this senseless tragedy. May God be close to them.

At this moment, I’m in hotel in Bend, Oregon, getting ready for another prophecy seminar that begins tomorrow night. On the way here, I talked to a woman sitting next to me on the plane about the Florida massacre. “I don’t understand how these things can happen!” she said. I saw this as God’s opening for me to share His Word. I quickly reached into my bag and grabbed a copy of White Horse Media’s newest booklet, “Making Sense of Deadly Disasters,” and handed it to her. She was quite interested to read it. After landing in Oregon, my associate and I stopped for lunch at a vegetarian restaurant. Sending up a prayer, I offered the lady who took our order the same booklet. “I have a deal for you,” I said. “I’m sure you’ve heard about what just happened in Florida. This booklet explains what happened. The deal is, I’ll give you the book for free, if you’ll read it.” She took it too, and seemed anxious to read it.

Making Sense of Deadly Disasters

I hate to say it, but more tragedies are coming. What’s happening is this: As wickedness increases, God’s Holy Spirit is being withdrawn from the earth, which prepares the way for more disasters and demon-inspired murders. Yet there are gleams of hope. As normalcy implodes, people’s hearts search harder for answers and are more open to Bible truth. When hell surrounds them, they turn to God. His Word has answers. Just like it was in Noah’s day, so today “The earth is filled with violence.” Genesis 6:11. “As lawlessness increases, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.” Matthew 24:13. The good news is that someday all pain and suffering will end. When senseless crimes and deadly disasters wreak havoc, who will tell people the facts? We must do it. This is our calling, our mission, and our privilege. “Even so, Come, Lord Jesus!” Revelation 22:20.

As darkness deepens, may our loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ shine His light through us.

  1. Very powerful article! We are truly living in the last days. It’s time for us to get our homes and our lives in order in preparation for the soon coming of Jesus Christ. May we be ready for that day by God’s grace.

  2. Does the church not have an obligation to speak out about the need for change to American gun laws? The loss of so many young lives so often is becoming routine, as is the predictable empty response.

  3. Lord help us.
Ellen White shows denying Christ’s divinity as a ‘error’ to be overthrown by missionaries expressing intense zeal: “Mohammedanism has its converts in many lands, and its advocates deny the divinity of Christ. Shall this faith be propagated, and the advocates of truth fail to manifest intense zeal to overthrow the error, and teach men of the pre-existence of the only Saviour of the world? O how we need men who will search and believe the word of God, who will present Jesus to the world in his divine and human nature, declaring with power and in demonstration of the Spirit, that “there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” O how we need believers who will now present Christ in life and character, who will hold him up before the world as the brightness of the Father’s glory, proclaiming that God is love! HM September 1, 1892, Art. A, par. 4

  4. People have become so desensitized to these violent incidents. It is happening at an alarming rate, and like earthquakes and other disasters, people shake it off as just another occurrence.
