666 Explained in 10 Minutes – Perhaps you didn’t notice, but recently the U.S. stock market plummeted 666 points. Some wondered whether this was a “sign” of bad things to come?
What is this mysterious number, 666, all about anyway? To answer that question, White Horse Media has just produced our newest video entitled, “666 Explained in 10 Minutes.”
The book of Revelation declares, “Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is 666.” Revelation 13:18. I am taking a survey of the New Testament class in college and was assigned a video to watch. It was by Daniel Wallace, PhD and called New Testament Bible Reliability. In the video he states that in 1998 a postage size piece of papyrus was found at Oxford University Ashmolean Museum that reads the number as being 616 not 666. He also stated that in 1843 a German scholar found a manuscript that had been written over multiple times. The number was 616 there also. I’m wondering if you are familiar with this information and what you think of it.
