Pope Calls for Action on Natural Disasters

Pope Francis reiterated his appeal for the world to do more to protect the environment, stressing the importance this can have in reducing the risk and impact of natural disasters.

“On 13 October, we observe the international day for the reduction of natural disasters,” the pope said during his weekly general audience. “I renew my heartfelt appeal for the safeguarding of creation through increasingly careful protection and care for the environment. I therefore encourage institutions and those who hold public and social responsibility increasingly to promote a culture that has the aim of reducing exposure to risks and to natural disasters.

“May concrete actions, aimed at the study and defense of the common home, progressively reduce the risks for the most vulnerable populations.”

The pope has already made the theological connection between the protection of creation and Sunday observance. When massive natural disasters become so prevalent that most Christians view them as God’s judgments or punishments on the human race, Sunday observance laws, as predicted, will arise to get the nations back to God. They will be required to enforce worship of the papal Sunday.

“And he [United States] had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” Revelation 13:15.

  1. I wonder just how long it will be when we see the Sunday Law actually enforced universally? I’m already getting old.

  2. This is really scary. I worship according to the word of God written in the Bible that says we are to remember God’s commandments and to keep holy the sabbath which is the seventh day of the week, Saturday. God did not change the sabbath, man did.
