Starting March 11, a new 6-part CNN original TV series entitled, “Pope: The Most Powerful Man in History,” has been airing on Sunday nights at 10 p.m. EST. A lot of people have been, and are now, watching this special series.
The Pope is NOT really the most powerful man in history. Jesus Christ is. Also, no mere mortal man deserves to be called, “His Holiness,” or “The Holy Father.” Such titles rightfully belong to God Almighty alone (see Psalm 111:9 and John 17:11). Without realizing it, CNN is helping to fulfill an ancient prophecy that says, “Authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation” (Revelation 13:7).
This is a perfect time to share our little tract, “The Pope and Prophecy,” which explains what the Bible says about “the beast” (see Revelation 13:1,2,5,7) and its mysterious “mark” (Revelation 13:16,17). Our Lord Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to heaven (John 14:6). He is the ONLY “Mediator” between God and fallen humanity (1 Timothy 2:5). I wonder how long before the Sunday Law takes affect? I believe with all this public light on the pope, it can not be too long. God in heaven help us to remain faithful and true to You until the end.
