Horror in Paradise. New York’s Abortion Law. Judgments are Coming.

Share

So much is happening these days, but I want to focus specifically on recent disasters, abortion in America, and God’s coming judgments. During the weekend of January 18 and 19, 2019, I was with my associate Ron Fleck in Red Bluff, California, for a series of prophecy meetings. On Friday afternoon, the 18th, we had a few extra hours to visit the nearby town of Paradise that had previously been devastated by The Camp Fire. What we saw was almost unbelievable.

As we drove around town, we saw this:

The most shocking part was seeing some houses standing, untouched by flames, while right beside them were other houses that were piles of rubble. The Scripture, “Two shall be in the field, the one shall be taken, and the other left” (Matthew 24:40) came forcibly to my mind. It reminded me that humans are saved individually, not in groups. Soon Jesus Christ will separate the wheat from the tares, the sheep from the goats (see Matthew 25:31,32). Dear friend, we need to know Jesus individually. If we don’t, we will be destroyed with Satan and his angels in the fierce fires of the last great day (see Matthew 25:41 and Revelation 20:14,15).

One of the biggest recent news stories is New York’s “Reproductive Health Act” making it legal to abort a baby up until the time of birth. I realize that there are different circumstances and opinions on this controversial law, but God Himself says, “You shall not kill.” Exodus 20:13. Based on God’s word, my view is that it is WRONG to take the life of an innocent child in the womb (unless a mother’s life is truly at risk, which is rare, or if the child cannot possibly survive after birth). Children conceived from rape, incest, or who are handicapped, have rights, too. Who knows what God will do with such children?

Should handicapped adults be killed, too? If not, how can we justify killing handicapped unborn children? God says, “I formed you in the womb.” Jeremiah 1:5. Each child is valuable, for it is created in the image of God. This world is filled with sexual sins, and the vast majority of abortions occur primarily because unwed mothers don’t want to be pregnant. As a result, innocent children are slaughtered. Using the language of the Apocalypse, such “sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered [these] iniquities.” Revelation 18:5. Matthew C. Harrison, the President of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, has spoken out clearly against New York’s ghoulish new abortion ruling.

“Shall I not visit these things? says the Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?” Jeremiah 5:29. In Bible days, when ancient Israel participated in gross sins, God’s judgments finally fell as Babylonian armies brought divine retribution. New judgments will soon descend on immoral America, and around the world. As abortion laws get looser, and as more innocent blood flows, we can expect more fires (like The Camp Fire), more earthquakes, more floods, and more hurricanes to strike as divine judgments from a holy God. US Midwest Freezes, Australia burns: this is the age of weather extremes,” reported Today.

More is coming. Much more.

To understand the true evil of abortion, and the life-long pain it so often brings to women who kill their babies, watch our 13-part TV series (on DVD) called, “The Abortion Controversy: Two Women Tell their Stories of Hope and Healing,” or read our little pocketbook, Hidden Holocaust: Discover God’s Love in the Abortion Nightmare, or read, Why Pro-life: Caring for unborn babies and their mothers.”  To learn more about what the Bible says about the future, read our pocketbook, The Coming Judgments of God.

As our world descends into moral chaos, let’s remember the words of God Himself who said, “I will punish the world for its evil” (Isaiah 13:11). Yet He also says, “None of them that trust in Him shall be desolate.” Psalm 34:22

“Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” Revelation 22:20

  1. Excellent article. Quite scary at the same time. May we choose Gods side, his commandments, statutes and ordinances. One question: how does one know or discern from the judgements of God from just sin taking its course in this world. I always was under the impression that the judgments of God would be at the very end. Any explanation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    1. Hello Ana. Thank you for asking. Very good question. We are told that judgments are coming. Notice this: “We are standing on the threshold of the crisis of the ages. In quick succession the judgments of God will follow one another—fire, and flood, and earthquake, with war and bloodshed.”—Prophets and Kings, 278. Also: “I was shown that the judgments of God would not come directly out from the Lord upon them, but in this way: They place themselves beyond His protection. He warns, corrects, reproves, and points out the only path of safety; then, if those who have been the objects of His special care will follow their own course, independent of the Spirit of God, after repeated warnings, if they choose their own way, then He does not commission His angels to prevent Satan’s decided attacks upon them.” Last Day Events, 242. Thus judgments can either come directly from God, or indirectly as He withdraws His protection. Either way, they are still classified as judgments. What the specific reasons were for what happened in Paradise, I can’t say. I don’t think we can look at most disasters and be able to say, “God did this.” Or “Satan did this.” Or, “Neither did this.” What happened in Paradise is terrible, and heart wrenching. So much suffering. I’m sure God aches with those who ache too, and He was there helping as many as possible. There is much we don’t know. Job didn’t know why Satan was allowed to kill his own family. But he trusted God through it all. So should we. These statements also show that judgments don’t only come at the end, in the 7 last plagues. They are coming now, and will continue, to wake up the world to the importance of following God’s law.

  2. “…if the mother’s life is truly at risk or if the child cannot possibly life outside the womb.”
Are you saying your opinion or from the NY abortion bill?
As a registered nurse who came from a poor family with seven children I can speak on this subject from a medical standpoint refuting a few things.
If the life of the mother is at risk, when possible do a C- section, They are risky but are very routine these days despite being high risk, even for the healthiest of women, for complications before, during and after the procedure. If a baby had died in utero then labor is usually induced, if the health of the mother allows.
With regard to the viability of a baby outside of the womb far too may times parents have been told their baby won’t live after it’s born or, that they might live a few moments, hours or even days because this and that is wrong with them and they live for years. Even the child that looks like he doesn’t even have a brainstem. That child is living s normal life. The one that don’t defy they odds? The fact is those babies are going to be born and there’s no stopping it. If they aren’t going to go to the loving arms of the parent then let it be to someone else’s loving arms, even if for short life their given. To do abortions in the last weeks, the last moments?! There is no reason, absolutely none, to torture those wee babes, let them die natural painless deaths. People advocate that for prisoners on death row because otherwise it’s “cruel and unusual punishment”. But then there’s the argument, and I haven’t seen it yet, that if we do as I suggest, then who will pick up the medical bill tab. That’s a good question. So man scenarios go throumy mind.
When they write in the bill re: the mental health of the mother, those issues should already have been addressed well before the last trimester and definitely well before the woman goes into labor. The “I don’t wanna..can’t be..won’t make a good momma”s shouldn’t be any reason for abortions because there are far to many loving empty arms that “wanna…can…will make a good momma”s out there.

Steve, as a poor, very young, niave student nurse I took care of a woman who was having a saline abortion, in one of our own hospitals no less. This was being performed in the 4 bed ER and the saline had already been instilled. For some reason they needed someone to basically monitor her vital signs. I didn’t know what torture the saline was doing that wee babe. Nobody checked her abdomen, listened to see how the abortion was progressing. I don’t even recall if she was medicated for pain, which would’ve been ironic. We just had everyday conversation as if we were having lunch together. I asked her the reason for the abortion. She told me they already had six healthy children and with the history of mental retardation on one side of the family her and her husband figured the risk of this child being retarded was to high. This might’ve been about 1977 and I can’t remember if genetic testing was available back then. Anyway, when she passed that perfectly looking precious wee babe into that bed pan, I briefly looked at it and my heart was ill and cried. I called the ER nurse to come anger the baby. To this day I can’t remember if I finished my time with patient or left and went back to the dorm. I had nightmares for years. I get flashbacks when this subject gets brought up.
I later learned there were vacumms I n our medical floor exam rooms, were those kind of abortions could be performed. I was shakened and appalled.

    1. Valerie, thank you for your words. I am appalled, just as you. No one should ever have to go through what you went through, especially in one of our own hospitals! Horror of horrors. I’m not a doctor, but I am totally against abortion, as you are. I’m sure you are right that “the baby can’t live outside the womb,” etc. argument has been used to kill those who would have lived. As also, the “mother’s life is at stake” argument. I’m all for what you have suggested. C-Sec. Save the baby, at all costs.

      1. For every story like this one there are other stories about the other side. My daughter in-law faced the terrible choice of abortion. Her daughter had not developed an upper brain of skull as well as there was serious questions about if the fetus would die before coming to term. The doctors advised her of the risk to her health if she continued to carry the fetus. She opted to abort so that she could live. This happened before she met my son. They now have 4 healthy children and she is open to learning about God and His love for her. That God will forgive her for the abortion as Jesus covers our sins with His blood. If she took the risk of carrying the fetus to term she could have died or maybe damaged her womb so that she wouldn’t be able to have more children. So according to this well meaning sister and her beliefs I maybe would have never known my daughter in-law or my lovely grandchildren. The issue of abortion is not so easily seen or understood by either side.

  3. Pastor Steve Wohlberg when will you address the issue of abortion withn the Seventh day Adventist Church …. you talk about coming judgements and show pictures of Adventist communities …. your witness would be more effective …. if you exposed the lies and cover up of this terrible corporate sin I believe you to be a Godly man … very few men are sounding God’s judgements !! in the last days ….just confused as to why you stop short …..

    1. James, I only stop short here on this page, mainly because I don’t think making this issue public here on my blog is going to make the critical difference. Nor do I think God wants me to promote and highlight publicly the sins of His church. Some think I should do this. I don’t. But I can assure that my voice is being heard behind these public posts, and that I have been appealing directly to our leaders. There is a growing group of us who are appealing for change at top levels. We trust God will bring about this change. We also pray for our leaders.

  4. I’m sorry but the NY abortion law does not let a person have an abortion for any reason right up until the time of birth. That’s untrue. I really like you and have read several of your books but you are simply wrong. You and the right wing are not telling the truth and quite frankly while I don’t agree with abortion as a personal choice I do believe it should be legal. I really don’t get the view that at one time in American history this country was closer to God than it is now? A country built on slavery and genocide of Native Americans and violations of civil right codified by law..the Constitution? Yes I do believe that prophecies of Revelation but let’s not pretend this nation was ever one nation under God..the history and fact do not support it. Did God not order the Israelite to kill children and the unborn of their enemies in some cases? Abortion is not murder anymore than the state executing a person found guilty of certain crimes. What I don’t understand is most people don’t know why a particular person is having an abortion and quite frankly it’s none of my or your business. Why can’t we let God deal with it. And this notion that abortion is murder? If that’s so then when you or someone sees or knows when a abortion is taking place why not call the police to prevent or stop a murder? Oh that’s right its legal. SO as for me I don’t agree with abortion but I say let people make up their own mind. I don’t and have never had an abortion or have I ever encouraged to someone to have one. I am loudly pro-choice meaning let people have the choice and let them deal with the consequences.

    1. Craig, as you are, I too am against slavery and the genocide of native Americans. This was wicked. But, — and I’m following your argument here — slavery also was “legal.” But that didn’t make it right. I’m sure would agree. We should apply this also to abortion. Yes, it’s legal, but still, its murder, a violation of the 6th commandment. God’s command in the OT to the Israelites to kill wicked nations is not the same as abortionists killing babies. Yes, people have free choice, but as someone once said, “my free choice ends at the tip of your nose.” In other words, yes, I’m free, but that doesn’t mean I should punch you, or that, if I do, there should be no consequences. Yes, a woman has the right to do with her body what she chooses, but medical science shows that a baby in the womb is a separate person with its own unique DNA, who also has rights. Saying that abortion is none of our business is like saying “slavery is none of our business.” But it is. The cause of the needy is our business, whether this applies to blacks, or babies.

  5. Yes! Our Father in Heaven is allowing His judgements to come upon the earth and mankind is reaping what mankind has sown. We are seeing the example of a class or denominational people here in this country that have rejected and have contempt for the Law of God and thus have no moral compass. Their ideology and morality changes on a whim and shifts like the wind. The mindset of America is drastically changing and the ‘sanctity of life’ is becoming obsolete.

Not soon, but ‘now’ Jesus is separating the precious wheat from the tares, and has been for 145 years. That is the purpose of the of the 3 Angel’s Messages.

    Our Father, through the SOP, revealed unto us this understanding;

The 1st Angel message revealed unto us the True God of the Bible, our Father in Heaven.

“The 2nd Angel message brought the Adventists from the ‘creed bound’ churches, where they could be reached by the gifts, be united and prepared for the coming of the Lord.” (3SG, p.30.1)

“A great work is to be done. The 3rd Angel message must do its work OF ‘separating from the churches’ a people who will take their stand on the ‘platform of eternal Truth’.” (GCB, Jan. 1,1900,Article A, par. 7)

Our Father HAS laid the foundation of eternal Truth through our early pioneers which is a calling out from Babylon (Rev. 18) and the ‘righteousness of Christ’. Who will humble themselves by answering His call. Are we interested enough to humbly study His Word, having the ‘faith of Jesus’ to put all our beliefs and what we have been taught on the altar of God and to trust in the Word of God, claiming His promise that “His Spirit” will lead us and guide us into All Truth and righteousness”. Are we willing to humbly listen to the PLAIN “Thus saith the Lord” like we have been ‘plainly told’ to do by our Father Himself.

    I pray that we will.

    God Bless!

  6. I like David would like to know if you are aware of abortions being carried out within Adventist Health Institutions. Are you going to do any reporting on this big cover-up within the Adventist Church.

    Thank-you

    1. Ted, I am aware. But I am not going to focus on making this issue public, and thus bring further shame on God’s church before her enemies. I am convicted that I should not do this. I hope you will respect my conscience. Some don’t. They seek to dictate what I should do. But I am not answerable to them, but to God alone. That said, rest assured that I have been appealing to our leaders at the top, and I will continue to do this. And I am not alone. I pray for our leaders, and believe that God will solve this mess in His time.

  7. The issue with SDA hospitals in western nations as opposed to missionary and field hospitals is that they are in business with the greater medical establishment such as the AMA for example. Various accreditation processes require business to be carried out in a certain way which helps to secure the tenure of credentialed medical personnel and maintain funding streams. You simply do not question the scientific integrity of the medical establishment. Another area of mass murder sanctioned by the medical establishment occurs in the cancer industry and yet another that affects many children is the vaccine agenda. I feel very sure that Ellen White, as an advocate of natural health and healing from the great physician would speak out out about many of theses practices in SDA hospitals but in her absence can we not make these decisions for ourselves, surely our creator and our God cannot approve, the carnage on many fronts is beyond belief. Yes in Gods time judgements are coming to every nation.

  8. The verse in Jeremiah is referring to transgressions of the Old Testament laws, there is no mention of abortion in the Old Testament.

  9. It’s time for the world to take sides, either for God or Satan. when the sins of the world get to the extremes then it’s for God to intervene and bring an end to this suffering

  10. The RHA legalized abortion at any time “when necessary to protect a woman’s life or health”.[15][21] or in the absence of fetal viability.[2] The act allows licensed health care practitioners other than physicians to perform abortions if doing so falls within their lawful scope of practice.[1][2] According to CBS New York, the act also repealed “criminal charges for harming children in the womb”,[22] but not for harming pregnant women.

One of the biggest recent news stories is New York’s “Reproductive Health Act” making it legal to abort a baby up until the time of birth.

I respect you as a pastor and I’m only pointing this out because I believe is full truth. You statement which I have listed second, I believe is misleading. Listed above is the actual law. Note that the only reason for a person to abort a baby in the 3rd trimester is for health of the mother or the fetus is unviable. I never would support anyone for killing a baby just because they don’t want it, I do believe that is murder. However I would not judge them either because I don’t know them or their circumstances as to why they would abort a baby. I leave those judgements to God as I believe we all should. There is a growing deception that is growing in our church. My mom raised me in our church and taught me that even omitting facts is a lie. I also believe that making statements that are misleading are wrong. I understand that people feel strongly about abortion, I do think we need better laws that would keep from killing innocent fetus’s. However, isn’t this a sign of the times? The love of many will wax cold. I believe in pro choice and pro life, but didn’t Jesus come to save all of us from sin? The abortion issue has become very political, and many people in our church now support and follow a man who is the most intemperate person that has ever occupied the White House. Early church leaders believed that we shouldn’t be involved political contests or support politicians.
