Surviving Toxic Terrorism (Part 2)

Share

Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the
flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God
(2 Corinthians 7:1)

It was Halloween evening, 1938. Orson Welles began narrating HG Well’s book, The War of the Worlds, to an unsuspecting radio audience. “Hostile invaders have come from Mars,” the announcer stated, “and have landed in New Jersey. The strange creatures are marching forwarded rapidly, killing as they go. Great destruction is taking place!” Fear gripped the listeners because they thought it was real. “Fake Radio War Strikes Terror Across America!” ran headlines the next day.

Yes, what happened in 1938 was just a story, but today’s invasion of poisonous chemicals into our air, soil, food, water, homes, and bodies isn’t. Such pollutants are real, and deadly, as are the various cancers, tumors, and autoimmune diseases related to them. Like never before in the history of planet Earth, we are The Toxic Generation.

Emergency cleansing is in order.

In Part 2 of this series, I’m going to recommend some very practical things I have learned about health and “detoxification,” which is a big buzzword these days. As I do, I hope you will research my suggestions more fully. The Internet and YouTube are great places to start. In spite of the garbage and misinformation saturating these sources, they’re also loaded with valuable, life-saving information for those who look hard enough, praying earnestly for divine guidance.

The first and foremost principle I have learned is that we must cooperate with “our Maker” (Ps. 95:6)

by doing things that will strengthen our body’s natural ability to detoxify itself and fight disease.

Believe it or not, prescription drugs (as a general rule) don’t cure anything. Instead, they typically only suppress painful symptoms, and often have perilous side effects. Not only that, but it’s an unfortunate fact that multibillion dollar pharmaceutical companies (again, as a general rule) aren’t really overly interested in your health; because if you achieved such bliss, you wouldn’t need their medications anymore and they wouldn’t make stellar profits. Don’t forget that drug companies are publicly traded companies with shareholders to satisfy and that their Number 1 goal is to make money. Sadly, their hefty profits often come at the expense of public health.

So, if you are really serious about being “in health” (3 John 2) in the midst of a sick, toxic, greedy world, you’re going to have to invest some time to learn what is truly best for your own body, make sacrifices, eliminate harmful habits, and adopt new, healthy ones. If you’re not willing to do this, then even God can’t help you avoid sickness. Eventually, you’ll “pay the piper,” “reap” what you “sow” (see Galatians 6:7), and suffer painful penalties.

That’s reality, not War of the Worlds fiction.

The second major principle is to do your best to develop consistent, healthy habits that include eating plenty of (preferably organic) fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds, exercising regularly, drinking lots of water, getting plenty of sunlight, and enough sleep. Such habits will truly “prevent disease,” whether the FDA approves of such language or not. These habits will strengthen your body’s own detox pathways by helping your liver, kidneys, and skin eliminate large amounts of carcinogenic poisons through your pee, poop, and perspiration. Without such habits, you will inevitably clog your system, and reap bodily harm.

There’s no way around it.

Third principle: In case you haven’t heard, America’s farming soils have become woefully deficient in vital minerals (for shocking proof right from the website of the US Department of Agriculture, Google the article “The Disappearance of Nutrients in America’s Orchards” by Alex Jack), thus we should supplement our diets with organic, high-powered “super foods” to supply the lack. Personally, I recommend daily sips of 100% organic whole leaf Aloe Vera, spoonfuls of high-quality vegetable powders like Hallelujah Acres “BarleyMax,” “BeetMax,” or “CarrotJuiceMax,” and/or generous amounts of “Spirulina,” a dark green algae loaded with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants (excellent prices are at www.vitacost.com). Other good supplements exist. Seek them out. “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” may have been true thirty years ago, but not today (see Alex Jack’s article). Again, farming soils are depleted, and trace minerals are lacking. This is why we need an extra boost.

In her eye-opening book, Detoxify or Die (available on Amazon.com), toxicologist Sherry Rogers, M.D. stresses our body’s need for two things: 1) Additional supplementation to counteract soil depletion and food degradation, and 2) detoxification from toxic chemicals. For ten months I have earnestly researched various “detox aids,” and from what I have learned, these are the crème of the crop:

First, detox foods. Universally recognized are lemons, garlic, onions, cabbage, and cilantro, which all have healing properties to help the body eliminate poisons. Next is Chlorella-another form of dark green algae (a good source is www.JZNatural.com).

Next, are certain “detox” products. A great natural product is “NDF Heavy Metal Detox” available from www.purehealthsystems.com. Activated charcoal (which absorbs poisons) is also an inexpensive and excellent “sweeper” of the GI tract (a good source is www.buyactivatedcharcoal.com). Just place a teaspoon in water and drink it down. It’s safe and effective.

Finally, Dr. Rogers strongly recommends Far Infrared Saunas for “super detoxification” through sweating. Many infrared sauna manufacturers exist, so do your homework. Personally, I like TheraSauna (www.therasauna.com). Our family has a TheraSauna, and my wife and I use it regularly. Believe me, they are worth the price.

Before closing, check out these facts:

  1. The video Ten Americans produced by the Environmental Working Group proved that the core blood of ten random fetuses was loaded with toxic chemicals even before birth.
  2. Other surveys for chemical contamination testing the blood and urine of thousands of adult volunteers suggests that every American – on average – has at least 700 synthetic chemicals inside their bodies.
  3. According to the CDC, cancer has become the second leading cause of death in children ages 1-14, and toxins are being implicated as playing a significant role in this frightening trend.

Randall Fitzgerald, author of The Hundred-Year Lie (2007), succinctly summarizes the risk with the ominous warning: “Lace our food and medicine with the synthetic brew of toxic chemicals that now percolate through every aspect of our natural environment and we have a recipe for massive immune system breakdown and a health-care system disaster” (p. 7).

He’s not kidding.

“Martians have invaded planet earth,” narrated Orson Welles to a terrified radio audience on Halloween evening in 1938. It was just a story. Unfortunately, today’s chemical invasion into human bodies isn’t fiction, but real, and it’s life-or-death. While it may be impossible to completely escape exposure to poisonous toxins, we can surely limit our risk if we willing to do what it takes.

Two thousand years ago, “Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people”

(Matthew 4:23, emphasis added). The good news is that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Heb. 13:8). He still exists. He still cares. He still heals, and saves.

With the Lord’s help, we can survive toxic terrorism.

As Dr. Laura says, “Now go, and do the right thing.”
