Serious times are before us, and there is great need for families to get out of the cities into the country. 6T, 178

Get out of the cities as soon as possible and purchase a little piece of land where you can have a garden, where your children can watch the flowers growing and learn from them lessons of simplicity and purity. Last Day Events, 95

Again and again the Lord has instructed that our people are to take their families away from the cities, into the country, where they can raise their own provisions; for in the future the problem of buying and selling will be a very serious one. Last Day Events, 99

Country Living

In 2008, three families (Lawsons, Navarros, Wohlbergs) employed by White Horse Media, felt God’s call to leave the city for country living. The Lord worked miraculously. After extensive searching, God led the Wohlbergs to purchase a beautiful 5-acre property in Priest River, Idaho, surrounded by pine trees, and close to a number of strong Adventist churches (Newport, Edgemere, Sandpoint, Diamond Lake, Spirit Lake). On the property, beside the main house, sat another large building which Maranatha Volunteers International (and many others) turned into a 19-room headquarters for White Horse Media. Under the blessing of the Lord, this ministry has grown phenomenally, spreading God’s Word around the world.

Praying

It’s a long story, but the catalyst occurred in March of 2025 when Steve and Kristin Wohlberg’s 17-year-old daughter Abby made her decision to attend Southern Adventist University in eastern Tennessee. After much prayer and family discussions, God made it clear that His cloud was lifting off the Idaho tabernacle and it was time for the Wohlbergs, some others, and White Horse Media itself to relocate, too.

On Wednesday, March 19, this transition was unanimously approved by White Horse Media’s board. A local Adventist realtor is now preparing to list the property on the MLS starting May 1; but before that time comes, the purpose of this website is to first make this unique property available to God’s people who we hope and pray will purchase and keep using for the Lord’s work. The WHM headquarters is perfect for a media ministry, a small lifestyle center, or for another God-ordained operation. This website contains pictures of the property, the main house, the White Horse Media headquarters, adjacent barns, the stunning view, two orchards, a garden, and surrounding areas.

The primary house where the Wohlberg family has been living for nearly 17 years was built in 2006. Additions have included one extended room, a new master bedroom, master bathroom, new carpet (in the master bedroom), a walk-in closet, a wood burning stove, sky lights, recessed lighting, a wrap around deck, and a woodshed. The house is approximately 1900 sq. ft. with 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms (with three showers), an open kitchen, and a roomy living room with a stellar view of the mountains.

Bonner County Administration Building

Our 5-acre property is located on a quiet street in a residential (not commercial) area. When it was decided to establish the headquarters of White Horse Media on the same property, it was determined that a “Conditional Use Permit” was needed in order for this ministry to legally function there. Proper procedures were followed, neighbors were notified, and this CUP was approved by Bonner County. The parking area was expanded, a second septic system was added, and up to 10 employees are now allowed to work at the building at one time.

When this property sells to a new owner, Bonner County regulations allow the CUP to stay with the property and to transfer to the new owner indefinitely—as long as the original condition of no more than 10 employees on the site at any one time continues to be respected. WHM has never functioned with that full amount of employees, but it is nice to have a cushion. The main issue is maintaining a residential environment without a lot of traffic and noise. Good relationships currently exist with all immediate neighbors.
