Greetings! My name is Rob Knott and I am the Director for the Bible school as well as Associate Speaker here at Whitehorse Media. This is my first E-Newsletter. My prayer is that you will be blessed as we seek to share messages that will encourage and strengthen your faith for these last days.

God has blessed us with great abundance that we often take for granted, including freedom, which has been especially enjoyed by those of us who live in the United States of America. In the US, we come together this time of year to be reminded of the blessings we have all enjoyed from the hand of our benevolent Creator.

Here is an excerpt from Abe Lincoln in 1863, who established The Thanksgiving holiday, because we are prone to forget where our blessings come from:

The year that is drawing towards its close, has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of Almighty God.

We are Prone to Forget where our Blessings Come From.

The fourth Commandment from God’s holy Law in Exodus 20:8-11 reminds us of a weekly day of rest called the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week. The very first word is “Remember” because we are prone to forget where our blessings come from. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 

Let us take to heart this wonderful Bible verse as we see  trouble on every side. May we keep our focus on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. May we endeavor to form characters like His. At this time of year we want to extend to each one of you warm and heartfelt greetings from all of us here at White Horse Media, including Pastor Steve!
