Finding Purpose by Serving Others

Greetings!

We are in the last month of 2022, and no doubt like many of you, we at White Horse Media are trying to get many things done before the end of the year.

What we sometimes forget is that through the hustle and bustle of life, we make the mistake of not living in the moment, and forget to smell the fragrance of the flowers as we rush by them. Life is a gift and let us not tumble into the pitfall of being too busy that we don’t see and enjoy the beauty that is all around us. God intended for us to find true purpose and meaning by investing our time and talents into that which God places great value.

God places great value on people, that’s right, your neighbor, the lady who cuts your hair, the driver in front of you. When we align our value system with God, we see that everyone around us is worthy of our time, respect, and our prayers. Yes, because we all are made in the image of God.

I remember seeing wristbands that people would wear that had the initials WWJD, What Would Jesus Do. Jesus made people his priority. He took time to minister and invest himself into their lives, even at the expense of his reputation

In Matthew 19:13,14 some mothers brought their children to have Jesus bless them, but the disciples rebuked them. Verse 14 says, “But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

Do you see that God places high value on people, even children?

Last week I had the great privilege of baptizing Jacob, and what a wonderful experience for both of us. It is amazing how our lives change as we read and study God’s word. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says it better, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

When Jesus came to this earth as a new born baby, God didn’t announce it through the religious leaders of the day, but humble shepherds were the ones He chose to communicate the blessing that had arrived in Bethlehem. Our studio is in the final stages of being completed and fully operational so we can continue programs that uplift Jesus and bring hope and encouragement to our viewers.
