Islam is the second largest religion in the world (Christianity is the largest), and there are approximately 1.8 billion Muslims today. Not long ago I sat beside a very nice Muslim man on a plane, and we had quite an interesting discussion. He told me that he believed in the Day of Judgment, and that on that Day he hoped that his good deeds would outweigh his bad deeds. He was very friendly, and he also assured me that he didn’t support radical groups like ISIS—even though ALL radical Muslim groups take their cues from specific verses in the Quran that plainly encourage violent behavior toward “unbelievers” (non-Muslims).
