Domestic Spying: Pre-Mark?

Share

edward-snowden“The NSA [U.S. National Security Agency] has built an infrastructure that allows it to intercept almost everything,” reports former NSA employee-turned-whistleblower Edward Snowden in The Guardian, June 9, 2013. “With this capability, the vast majority of human communications are automatically ingested without targeting. If I wanted to see your emails or your wife’s phone, all I have to do is use intercepts. I can get your emails, passwords, phone records, credit cards.

“I don’t want to live in a society that does these sort of things. I do not want to live in a world where everything I do and say is recorded. That is not something I am willing to support or live under.”

Snowden’s brave choice to leak classified files to The Guardian and The Washington Post revealing NSA’s secretive ordering of companies like Verizon to turn over citizen’s phone records in the name of fighting terrorism have created a firestorm of liberty-loving opposition from concerned Americans coast-to-coast. The Dept. of Homeland Security and U.S. Justice Dept. are involved too, as willing participants.

Another step toward Big Brother who sees and tracks everything? Bible prophecy suggests so, for Revelation 13:16,17 describes a massive end-time “beast” (a.k.a. a “nation”, compare with Daniel 7:23) enforcing a deadly “mark” upon its citizens shortly before the return of Jesus Christ (read Revelation 14:9-16). Eventually, “no man” will be able to “buy or sell” without the mark.

How will governments know who has the mark? Answer: Surveillance.

NSA domestic spying is good practice.

This writer of the Prophetic Intelligence Report sees this current controversy as a harbinger of what cometh. When a global crisis hits, government monitoring will occur on an apocalyptic scale.

Prophecy predicts it. Snowden has given us fair warning that such a possibility is close at hand.
