4 Steps to Heaven

Here are 4 simple steps to heaven. They are not hard, and should be done EVERY DAY.

1. Pray for the Holy Spirit (see Luke 11:13). When the Holy Spirit comes into our lives, wonderful things will begin to happen. Conscience is more easily convicted. The Bible comes alive. The Lord is more able to guide us.

2. Ask Jesus to give you a "pure" heart (see Matthew 5:8). If the root of a plant is good, its fruit will be good. It's the same with us. If our hearts become pure and clean by the grace of God, this will result in good behavior.

3. Memorize God's Word (see Psalm 119:11). Scripture is the key to all spiritual growth. The more we meditate on God's Word, and learn its teachings, the more we will "know the Lord" and His will for our lives.

4. Trust completely in Jesus Christ (see Ephesians 1:12,13). Look not to self, but to the Savior.

These 4 steps are not formal, but living and dynamic. If you will take these steps EVERY DAY, your chances of entering The Pearly Gates are outstanding.

Mysterious bird and fish deaths

[Posted Jan. 6] On New Year's Eve, nearly 5,000 blackbirds fell dead upon Beebe, Arkansas. Approximately 125 miles away, 100,000 fish floated up or washed ashore dead. Bizarre events like this have been occurring around the world (Sweden, U.K., Brazil, Australia). Great speculation exists as to the cause(s). Theories include: fireworks, toxins, stress, and even poisonous gas.

Two days ago I was contacted by the NY Daily News for my take, and three more radio/TV interviews have been booked (read my media report).

Notice these intriguing Bible verses:

Jesus Christ predicted, "and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven" (Luke 21:11).

"Therefore the land will mourn; and everyone who dwells there will waste away, with the beasts of the field, and the birds of the air; even the fish of the sea will be taken away" (Hosea 4:3).

At the end of the world, God will "destroy those who destroy the earth" (Revelation 11:18).

Whatever the exact cause of these events, there is no doubt in my mind that our earth is not only waxing old, but also is hurtling toward its final "time of trouble" predicted in the Bible (see Daniel 12:1). The public is searching for answers. Millions sense something is coming. May God help us to share the truth of Jesus Christ "while it is still day for the night cometh, when no man can work" (John 9:4).

Democrats, GOP, Tea Party, Obama

"Love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:39) is the second greatest commandment in the Law. But who is my neighbor? In answer to this question, which one of the following five options would you put a check mark next to:

Democrats
Republicans
Tea Party patriots
President Obama
All of the above

The biblical answer is "All of the above." Each individual within options 1-3 (including President Obama) will make decisions that are either right or wrong (which they will be judged for) and we are free to either agree or disagree with those decisions. But, as "Christians" first and foremost, we must never forget that our highest loyalty should be-not to any political party-but to Jesus Christ (who died for every man's sins) and the law of God.

"Love your neighbor as yourself" is the call of God to His people during these politically charged times. Don't forget this. During this election season, may God help each of us to take the high road by always remembering that our "neighbor" applies to "All of the above."

Surviving Toxic Terrorism

Responses have been positive to the shocking information posted in our new "Surviving Toxic Terrorism" zone on our website. Especially have people enjoyed watching the video series, Ten Americans, produced by the Environmental Working Group. As I personally process this information, the conviction deepens that Satan is seeking to kill us all in a variety of ways, including through poisonous chemicals, which I have no doubt play a role in the development of many cancers and deadly diseases. How important is your health to you? What special things are you doing to "be in health" (3 John 2) and defeat the devil? All tips and comments are welcome!

The Twilight craze

The last few days have been amazing, especially the major radio interviews discussing the third Twilight movie, Eclipse, that opened yesterday (June 30). FYI, Eclipse earned $68.5 million in one day, "making it the biggest Wednesday premiere in the history of civilization."
