4 Steps to Heaven

Here are 4 simple steps to heaven. They are not hard, and should be done EVERY DAY.
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit (see Luke 11:13). When the Holy Spirit comes into our lives, wonderful things will begin to happen. Conscience is more easily convicted. The Bible comes alive. The Lord is more able to guide us.
2. Ask Jesus to give you a "pure" heart (see Matthew 5:8). If the root of a plant is good, its fruit will be good. It's the same with us. If our hearts become pure and clean by the grace of God, this will result in good behavior.
3. Memorize God's Word (see Psalm 119:11). Scripture is the key to all spiritual growth. The more we meditate on God's Word, and learn its teachings, the more we will "know the Lord" and His will for our lives.
4. Trust completely in Jesus Christ (see Ephesians 1:12,13). Look not to self, but to the Savior.
These 4 steps are not formal, but living and dynamic. If you will take these steps EVERY DAY, your chances of entering The Pearly Gates are outstanding.

I Love this and think it is beautiful! I only think number 4 should be number 1!

Praise The Lord, Steve. I am also fully convinced that we HAVE to live by those steps to be ready for Heaven. I also try to live by "Living in the world, but not being of the world" every day. It's a gradual and challenging process as the allurements of the world are very powerful at times, but we can not be lukewarm and have one foot with God and the other with the world, there are only 2 choices at the end of the day, you're either with God or against Him. Thank you so much for sharing those powerful steps.

Step #4 is the ONLY step to heaven. Christ alone - nothing more, nothing less. "For by faith ye are saved. . not by works lest any man should boast." "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." "There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved." Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life; no man cometh to the Father but by me."

This is a question about occult influence in Christian garb. I couldn't find anywhere else to ask this question. Would you classify the "Chronicles of Narnia" in the same category as "H. Potter" and the "Twilight" series? Is CS Lewis an author who warrants a Christian following? PLEASE post something on your site a out CS Lewis!

About the 4th comment, Jesus Himself said that if we don't "repent" we will "perish." Luke 13:3.
About the 5th comment, no, I would not put CS Lewis in the same camp. This does not mean my endorsement for every word Lewis wrote, but his books are much more Christian than Rowling's or Meyer's.
